Issuing visas (Diplomatic, Official and Tourist)
1. Documents required for Tourist visa
The applicant needs to submit following documents for obtaining visa:
- Dully Filled Application Form ( Download Visa Application From Here)
- 2 Passport Size Photograph
- Passport and its copy (Passport should have at least six month validity)
- Iqama/National ID copy
- Relevant Documents (letter from the Employer, Government Institutions , Sponsor etc.)
2. Tourist Visas Fees

Children under the age of 10 shall be issued with a visit visa free of cost upon the arrival at Nepal.
Entry validity is six months from the date of issue. The validity of visa dates are counted from the date of arrival in Nepal.
3. Visa Application Time and Procedure
After the proper documentation for Visa the applicant needs to apply visa in the Consulate General of Nepal in the working days (Sunday to Thursday) between 10 am to 2 pm working hours.
4. Important Notice
The Consulate General of Nepal reserves the right to refuse any visa without assigning any reason whatsoever. Once the visa is issued, it will not be amended, revalidated and visa fees will not be refunded.
Visitors may also obtain tourist visa at different arrival points in Nepal: – Tribhubhan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, Kakarbhitta, Birgunj, Belhiya, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Mahendranagar, Kodari. Visa fees at arrival points: 15 days=$25, 30 days=$40, 90 days=$100.If applicant wishes to obtain visa on arrival, two passport sized photographs should be presented.
Tourist visa can be extended from the Department of Immigration, Kathmandu and Immigration Office, Pokhara for a total of 120 days.
Nationals of the Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and Syria must apply for a tourist visa through Nepalese Embassies /Consulates/Missions/ Honorary Consulates as they do not get visas on arrival .
