Death Case of Nepalese Nationals


For the repatriation of the dead body  and cremation of the dead body in Saudi Arabia of the Nepalese National working in Saudi Arabia, following procedure and documents has to be prepared:


i) Immediate notification of death

The company/sponsor as well as friends and family members working in the company are requested for prompt notification of the death of  any Nepalese nationals working in the respective company :

While notifying please ensure that you have correctly informed:

  • Name of the deceased person
  • Name and contact number of Company/Sponsor,
  • Iqama number and passport number of the deceased,
  • Name and Number of Government Affairs Officer/HR Manager of the company/sponsor,
  • Informant name and number

ii). Communication with the Consulate

Once the death is notified, the representative (Saudi National) from the company/sponsor should approach to the consulate with following documents;

  • Report about death ( how, when, where accident occur)
  • Photo Copy of Iqama and Passport of the deceased,
  • Photo Copy of the ID of the representative

iii). Issue of Authorization Letter

Once necessary documents are received, authorization letter is issued in the name of representative to proceed further and for obtaining other documents that are essential for the repatriation of the death body. Authorization letter helps company/sponsor  facilitates for obtaining necessary documents from the concerned authorities of Saudi Arabia.

Authorization letter is issued free of cost and immediately when required documents are submitted to the consulate.


iv).Issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC)

No Objection Certificate has to be issued by the consulate for the cases under its jurisdiction for repatriation of the dead body to Nepal and for cremation of dead body with in Saud Arabia.

For issuing No Objection Certificate for repatriating  dead body the company/sponsor should produce following documents:

  • Copy of Iqama and Passport of the deceased
  • Company’s description about death (in English)
  • Death Certificate
  • Police Report
  • Medical Report
  • GOSI Registration and Information proof
  • Salary sheet for last three months
  • Due salary and benefits (Cheque should be issued in the name of Consulate General of Nepal, Jeddah).
  • Belonging details and presentation of belonging of deceased to consulate
  • Booking details for repatriation of dead body
  • SR. 150 /- is charged for issuing No Objection Certificate. 

For Issuing No Objection Certificate for Cremation in Saudi Arabia

  • Copy of Iqama and Passport of the deceased
  • Company’s description about death (in English)
  • Death Certificate
  • Police Report
  • Medical Report
  • GOSI Registration and Information proof
  • Salary sheet for last three months
  • Due salary and benefits ( Cheque should be issued in the name of Consulate General of Nepal, Jeddah).
  • Belonging details (written) if any, and presentation of belonging of deceased to consulate

Power of Attorney with attestation  from Department of Consular Services, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nepal,  from the immediate family members to burry dead body in KSA.

  • SR. 150 /- is charged for issuing No Objection Certificate.

v). Information to the Family Members/ Consulate

The consulate kindly request the Company/Sponsor to inform about the flight details for the repatriation of the dead body to family member and consulate. For family members, it will help for arranging time for receiving dead body and to plan cremation activities. It will support consulate for proper record keeping and documentation.

Even in case of cremation in Saudi Arabia, the Company/Sponsor are requested to inform about the date, time and place of burry to the family members as well as to the consulate.
